Career opportunity social platform closes its mezzanine offering

WhoPlusYou successfully closed its $356,000 mezzanine offering which was initiated this month. A single investor subscribed to the non-brokered placement. Two previous financing rounds initiated by WhoPlusYou raised an estimated $250,000. The mezzanine offering’s expected net proceeds amount to $306,000 excluding $50,000 earmarked for the payment of officers’ salaries.

WhoPlusYou develops a social platform for career opportunity matching. Members build a digital portfolio and get connected with jobs that are relevant to their qualifications and experience by leveraging innovative means such as refine filtering, video presentations, and visual resumes. The main goal is to help candidates make valuable market connections quickly and easily by matching and connecting them with relevant jobs and employers. If a candidate fits a position, the candidate will be notified by the employer. Once connected, candidate and employers can communicate within the WhoPlusYou system by chat, video and audio conference, and through multi-media presentations. By providing a digital platform for sharing an abundance of information in a quick, structured, and visually pleasing format, WhoPlusYou is gunning for ending the traditional two-page resume.

The company is headquartered in Toronto Canada. WhoPlusYou elected not to disclose its revenues. The executive team includes Doug Walker (CEO and Co-founder) as well as Jay Tanner (CTO and Co-founder).
