Mandaê Technologies raised $200,000 from four financial backers on March 24th according to information disclosed by the company. The non-brokered equity offering was fully subscribed. No offering was previously initiated by the company under a registration exemption with the SEC.
The company is launching a service for small e-commerces, online sellers and individuals to make shipping hassles free. Company drivers will come at the customer’s location to pick up the items that will be later on professionally packed and shipped via the appropriate carrier. The company seems to have a mobile application ready for the Brazilian market which allows users to take pictures of the items to be shipped and schedule pickup.
The company, headquartered in Wilmington DE, was registered this year. Despite the address in the US, the company originated from Brazil where the service will be first released. Revenues were not disclosed.
The executive team includes Karim Hardan Chimele and Marcelo Kazuo Fujimoto. Mr Fujimoto is one of the co-founder of Brazilian baby clothing online retailer BabyCub.
A similar pickup and shipping concept is part of BRANDiD’s business model.
