Sonos reported raising $130 million via private placement

sonos Sonos successfully completed a $130 million non-brokered equity financing round. A total of eight investors started to subscribe to the round on November 18th. A total of six unregistered securities offerings closed by the company raised an estimated $172.46 million.

Sonos designs, develops and markets the Sonos Wireless HiFi System that lets users stream their music wirelessly in every room of their homes using an Android smartphone, iPhone, or iPad. The company is backed by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, Redpoint Ventures, Elevation Partners, BV Capital and Index Ventures.

The company is headquartered in Santa Barbara CA. Sonos elected to keep its revenues undisclosed.
The executive team includes Craig Shelburne, John MacFarlane and Michael Giannetto.
The board of directors includes David Kerko, John Maeda, Julius Genachowski, Michelangelo Volpi and Robert Bach.

The company has raised an estimated total of $302.46 million via private unregistered security offerings.
