Coupa Software reported closing a $80 million equity issuance

$80 million worth of equity securities were issued by Coupa Software. A total of twenty-three investors participated to the brokered placement which started on May 26th. The private placement’s expected net proceeds amounts to $76.4 million which excludes $3.6 million paid in brokerage fees. Qatalyst Partners acted as sole placement agent on the transaction. The company closed three previous unregistered private placements which raised an estimated $20.86 million.

Coupa Software markets and develops cloud-based financial applications such as procurement, expense management and accounts payable. The apps enable customers to launch the solution immediately and quickly realize significant savings. Investors include Meritech Capital, Icon Ventures, Northgate Ventures, Crosslink Capital, Mohr Davidow Ventures, Battery Ventures, El Dorado Ventures, and Blue Run Ventures.

The company is headquartered in San Mateo CA. Coupa Software elected to keep its revenues undisclosed.
The executive team includes Jon Stueve and Rob Bernshteyn.
The board of directors includes Bryan Stolle, Charles Beeler, Jonathan Ebinger, Neeraj Agrawal, Roger Siboni and Scott Thompson.

The company has raised an estimated total of $100.86 million via private unregistered security offerings.
