Silk Labs launched a $2.53 million offering and placed 88%

According to a document filed by Silk Labs with the SEC, the company launched a $2.53 million non-brokered equity offering. So far Silk Labs sold 88% or $2.23 million worth of new unregistered securities to ten backers. The subscription started on October 26th. Based on the offering’s structure, the company has until October 2016 to raise an extra $300,000. The company doesn’t appear to have previously sold securities under a registration exemption with the SEC.
Silk Labs develops an internet of things communication platform designed to enable smart devices to capture data from their sensors and send it over the network.
Silk Labs, registered in 2015, is headquartered in San Carlos CA. It is led by Andreas Gal (CEO). Revenues were not disclosed.
The executive team includes Christopher Jones.
