Semantic Machines reports the successful completion of its equity issuance

Semantic Machines placed $12.38 million worth of securities as part of a non-brokered equity financing round. The placement, which started on December 9th, lured a total of eleven subscribers. No offering was previously initiated by the company under a registration exemption with the SEC.
The company is developing the fundamental artificial intelligence technology needed to make conversational computing a reality. Financial backers include Bain Capital Ventures, General Catalyst Partners, Justin Kan, Ray Stata, and Sound Ventures.
The company is headquartered in Newton MA. Semantic Machines elected to keep its revenues undisclosed.
The executive team includes Damon Pender, Daniel L Roth and Julio E Vega.
The board of directors includes Larry Bohn and Scott Friend.
